My Story

I am beyond excited to join Binghamton University as a volleyball player and Fine Art and Design Major. I thrive not only in digging and hitting but in my commitment to academic excellence. My story is one of unwavering dedication, relentless commitment, and unyielding passion for the game. With grit, perseverance and determination anything is possible on the court and beyond.

Creativity

I am deeply creative and have spent my formative years exploring my passion for the arts. From poetry to literature to art, I find joy in expressing my individuality. Beyond my artistic pursuits I embrace life’s adventures, celebrate moments of magic, and learn from the moments that are not so magical. I believe in kindness, compassion and positivity. I look forward to life’s endless possibilities.

Family

As the eldest of the sisters I strive to embody the values I hope they will emulate – compassion, perseverance, determination, dedication and the courage to pursue their dreams. I strive to be a beacon of positivity and perseverance for my sisters. We navigate the journey of sisterhood with love, commitment and share an unbreakable bond.

Lifeguard

According to the CDC over 3500 people a year die from drowning annually, with children being particularly vulnerable. I serve as a certified lifeguard at the YMCA, instilling confidence and offering encouragement to hesitant swimmers.

Service

“Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.”

― Marian Wright Edelman

I am deeply invested in advocating for positive change in the community. I have dedicated myself to service and actively seek opportunities to contribute to causes.

Worldwide over a billion people struggle with food insecurity. New Jersey Consistently ranks in the top 5 wealthiest states in America, but hunger is always closer than we think. The USDA estimates almost 800 thousand people in New Jersey are food insecure, including over 200 thousand children. According to feeding America one in 11 people in New Jersey is food insecure. I have served on the Student Advocacy Committee for Food Insecurity at the community food bank of New Jersey, and worked on hunger and poverty campaigns.

Habitat for Humanity has helped families build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter for more than four decades beginning in 1976.Women Build is a program where local Habitat affiliates teach women volunteers how to construct decent, affordable housing (3). I support Women Build by running on charity miles. Charity miles partners with charities to convert logged miles to donations for the charity. I am proud to have logged over 100 miles for habitat for humanity as part of my commitment to stewardship of the earth.

Camp Acorn’s mission is to provide a supportive environment through enrichment programs that address the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children and adults with developmental disabilities. I have served as a Camp Acorn volunteer and have worked towards helping campers discover their strengths and embrace their unique abilities.
